The English Coonhound, also known as the American English Coonhound or Redtick Coonhound, is far from a usual suspect when it comes to performing dogs. Surprisingly, though, you can see this breed in two main film roles from the 1930s and 1970s.

Based on the classic novel by William H. Armstrong. Despite the title being the dog’s name, Sounder has more of a background role than a star player.

The Voice of Bugle Ann * Year: 1936 * Country: US * Breed content: Medium
