Afghan Hounds make flashy film dogs with a special look. They are even popular in animated films like Balto and Oliver & Company. They’re not known for leading roles, but used by Hollywood more as set decoration, making a statement about the human character they’re seen with. On the big screen, you’ll never see an Afghan Hound trying to explain that Timmy fell down the well, or leading a family out of a burning building. But they bring a special presence to any film.
