Psy (1989)

Psy / Псы AKA: Stray Dogs * Year: 1989 * Country: Soviet Union * Breed content: Low

This Soviet horror film about a pack of dogs attacking people and then being hunted down by the humans features two short-coated Caucasian Shepherd Dogs playing the leader of the pack. Animal cruelty is rampant in the film, in which trip-wires were used to make it look as if dogs were shot, and real injuries and sedatives used on dogs to meet the filmmakers’ demands. Mostly starring GSDs and mixed-breeds.
